The default Escalation in most tenant agreements is 5%.

You can check field called "Escalation" in Tenant Contracts to get the correct number.

However, sometimes there are market changes and rents in the market may move up or down.

So owners or tenants may want to negotiate this.

In such cases, you should check with the TAC RM what the ongoing rate is, and how quickly we can get a new tenant at that rate. You should give this information to the customer and negotiate the rent with both parties depending on the market and demand/supply situation.

In case the tenant has concerns that how can we increase the rent more than the Escalation amount, please ask them to check clause 3, which says ". In the event of significant market changes, the rent will be revised accordingly ". This is mentioned in the last line of clause 3.
