Sometimes. owners will have questions on what the exit process is and when we refund deposit to the tenant. 


Please explain the process to them as you understand it:

1. Exit check - as part of this process our team accompanies the vendor for the exit check and we do a thorough check of the house. 


2. Deductions: The tenant is supposed to complete a painting, cleaning and ensure all plumbing, electrical fittings are working and there are no damages, except for what is acceptable for age related wear and tear. If he does not do these things, then we deduct the cost of this from the deposit. 

We also hold a certain amount for Utility bills. If the tenant is supposed to pay the association maintenance, we also check and deduct that to the best of our ability. We also ask the owner to share this information with us, as we don't always get clarity from the association 


3. Refund: After the deductions are shared with the tenant and he approves, we refund this amount to him. 


4. Maintenance work: We then complete the maintenance work for the property and get it ready for the next tenant.
