Tenants need to pay the rent on time, else a penalty is charged as per agreement.
This is mentioned in clause 5 of the sample agreement
The last line of clause 5 reads:
"The LICENSEE will be liable to pay a penalty of Rs. 1000 for any such delay or incident to
the LICENSOR, after allowing for a grace period of upto 3 days, after which additional penalties may apply."
Waiving the penalty
If there is a genuine reason for the delay, or the rent was paid on time and there was some technical issue on our end, you can waive the penalty
